ONE POSTDOC SCHOLARSHIP

Leuphana University of Lüneburg, foundation under public law, fosters the development of the junior scientific staff. Therefore the university offers one Postdoc Scholarship at the Chair for Political Culture Research with a thematic focus on “comparative public opinion, political psychology and/or political behavior” at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, starting June 1st 2020.
Eligible applicants for this scholarship include highly qualified young academics with a doctoral degree in a social science discipline working in the above-mentioned research field. The scholarship will first be awarded for one year and will be extended upon request, adding up to a maximum of three years. Periods with alternative financial support prior to the scholarship will be taken into account. No scholarship may be awarded to candidates who have already earned a post-doctoral degree. The scholarship is worth € 2,000 monthly (plus child benefits, if applicable).
The scholarship is awarded for the pursuance of a three-year postdoctoral research project in the above-mentioned thematic field. The scholarship recipient is expected to participate in the political science department’s teaching activities. This implies giving tutorials and providing other advisory services for the Leuphana College and the Leuphana Graduate School for up to ten hours per week.
In addition, the scholarship recipient is expected to partake in the qualification program and the research colloquium. The prospective scholarship recipient shall have his or her place of residence in Lüneburg or its vicinity.

- Documentary proof of a doctoral degree earned at a recognized university or any equivalent qualification

- A list of the major publications of the last three years
